Some home solar power systems terminologies
• Amorphous solar cells are non crystalline structured and are blue in color. Their wiring pattern is flexible enough to provide energy in shady conditions. The wiring for these cells is done in parallel configuration to make solar power systems efficient.
• Mono-crystalline solar cells are black in color .They are rigid structures which are difficult to fix. These cells are less effective than amorphous cells in case of excessive heat. Also a considerable should be taken to place these cells for light exposure
• Blocking diode device is used in solar power systems to avoid battery from discharging at night
• Charge controller is used to control and display the battery charge status
• Concentrator arrays use various lenses to intensify and divert the heat energy in small solar heating systems.
